We use required cookies to keep you signed in, maintain account security, remember access, and protect the service from abuse. We also use browser local storage to remember workspace choices such as shortlisted, hidden, and compared programs.

We and our service providers may use cookies and similar browser storage to understand how people find and use the service, recognize returning visits, maintain preferences, and support account and security features. You can block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser, but sign-in and saved workspace features may stop working.

We use analytics and diagnostic tools to understand how people find and use Grad School Navigator, improve search and product features, measure journeys and conversions, and detect errors or performance problems. This may include account, device, usage, search, interaction, transaction, session, and diagnostic information.

We may associate analytics activity with your account and use service providers to process this information on our behalf. Analytics methods and providers may change as the service develops. We configure analytics collection to exclude passwords, authentication and recovery tokens, and complete payment-card details.

Analytics tools may record interactions and session activity, including session replay, to help us understand how pages and features are used. We apply masking and other controls to limit the collection of sensitive information through these tools.

Separately, our server keeps the search records described above so we can audit and improve search quality. We also use error-monitoring tools to diagnose failures. We limit and redact sensitive information sent through diagnostic tools where designed to do so.

We share information with service providers that help us operate the service, such as hosting, database, authentication, payment, analytics, and error-monitoring providers.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of the business. Service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention time depends on the type of information and why we need it. We may keep de-identified information that no longer identifies you.

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No Internet service or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. You may also have the right to object or receive a portable copy. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity, and some information may be kept when required by law or for legitimate security, accounting, or dispute purposes.

You can clear locally stored workspace and analytics information through your browser controls. You can limit analytics collection by blocking or deleting cookies and site data, or by using browser tools that block the analytics services we use. Blocking analytics does not prevent the service from working.

Grad School Navigator is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

We may update this policy as the service or law changes. We will post the revised policy and change the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable additional notice.
