Fairleigh Dickinson University Vancouver

Fairleigh Dickinson University Vancouver is the Canadian branch campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University, a private university founded in 1942 in New Jersey. The Vancouver campus opened in 2007 in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, and confers FDU degrees rather than those of a separate Canadian university.

Teaching concentrates on business and professional studies and draws on FDU's Silberman College of Business and related schools in New Jersey. The Vancouver site is an urban classroom campus, not a medical center or large laboratory complex.

Enrollment is much smaller than on FDU's New Jersey campuses, which together serve more than 10,000 students. Vancouver classes include a high share of international students. Faculty mix locally hired instructors with staff connected to the home campuses.

Graduate study is a professional master's taught mainly by coursework on a North American semester calendar. Students live in downtown Vancouver and use city housing rather than a residential college system. Support follows FDU campus scholarships and assistantships rather than a large public doctoral funding pool.

In the Grad School Navigator directory, Fairleigh Dickinson University Vancouver lists 1 master's program, in computer science.
