About Fanshawe College
Fanshawe College is a public college of applied arts and technology in London, Ontario. It was established in 1967 and grew from a local vocational college into a multi-campus institution for southwestern Ontario, with its main campus in London and additional sites in the region.
Faculties cover business, health sciences, human services, technology, and creative industries. Instruction is applied: laboratories, studios, and work-integrated placements. The college is not organized as a research university with doctoral schools.
Full-time enrollment is on the order of 20,000, with additional part-time students and a large international intake from many countries. Instructors teach professional and technical programs. Alumni typically enter regional industry, health, and public-service roles.
Advanced study, where offered, takes the form of Ontario college postgraduate certificates and applied credentials rather than research doctorates. Terms often begin in September, January, and May. Students live in London, a mid-sized city between Toronto and Windsor, in campus residence or nearby rentals.
