Northeastern University Vancouver

Northeastern University Vancouver is a campus of Boston-based Northeastern University in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. The campus opened in 2019 as part of Northeastern's network of graduate and professional sites outside Massachusetts. It is a city-center teaching campus rather than a full research university, built around professional master's study and the parent institution's cooperative-education model. The campus occupies leased downtown space rather than a suburban quadrangle.

Programs sit in computer science, information systems, analytics, and related professional fields, taught by Northeastern faculty and Vancouver instructors. Students follow the experiential structure Northeastern developed in Boston, including co-op and project placements with employers in Metro Vancouver. There are no teaching hospitals or national laboratories on this campus.

Enrollment is a few hundred graduate students, many of them international. Students come from Canada, the United States, and a wide set of other countries. Faculty combine Boston-linked and Vancouver-based instructors. Graduates join Northeastern's wider alumni network in industry and technology.

Graduate study on this campus is at master's level, with coursework and co-op or project placements rather than a local doctoral culture. The calendar follows Northeastern's semester and co-op cycles. Students live in downtown Vancouver and use the city's technology employers for work terms.

In the Grad School Navigator directory, Northeastern University Vancouver lists 3 graduate programs in computer science and information systems & MIS, all of them master's programs.
