Beijing Jiaotong University and Rochester Institute of Technology

Beijing Jiaotong University and Rochester Institute of Technology jointly offer graduate study in Beijing that pairs BJTU's transport and management university with RIT's professional master's model. BJTU was founded in 1896 as a railway institute and is a public university in Haidian. RIT, founded in 1829, is a private technical university in Rochester, New York. The partnership is a specialist cooperative program, not a separate comprehensive university.

Instruction draws on BJTU's schools of economics, management, and information and on RIT faculty in entrepreneurship and technology. The academic focus is professional entrepreneurship and innovation rather than a full doctoral faculty.

Cohorts are small, composed mainly of Chinese students with some international classmates through the RIT network. Teaching is split between BJTU staff in Beijing and RIT faculty.

The degree is a professional master's mixing coursework with a capstone or venture project. The calendar follows the Chinese academic year, with possible residency at RIT. Scholarships may come from either parent. Students are based on BJTU's Beijing campus, with Rochester as the American counterpart.

In the Grad School Navigator directory, Beijing Jiaotong University and Rochester Institute of Technology lists 1 master's program, in operations research & management science.
