About ESADE
ESADE is a Jesuit business and law school in Barcelona, founded in 1958 by the Society of Jesus and a group of Catalan business leaders. It is a constituent of Ramon Llull University and remains a specialist school of management and law, with campuses at Pedralbes and Sant Cugat in the Barcelona area and a site in Madrid.
Academic work is divided between the Business School and the Law School. Graduate programs center on the MBA, MSc degrees in management, finance, and marketing, and law degrees including bilingual and international tracks. Research units cover social innovation, entrepreneurship, and governance; executive education is a large parallel activity. ESADE is a member of the CEMS alliance of management schools.
Degree-seeking enrollment is on the order of 4,000, with a high international share in the MSc and MBA cohorts and students from more than 100 countries in some intakes. Faculty combine research academics and practitioners from European firms. Alumni work in consulting, finance, consumer industry, and Spanish and Latin American law.
Graduate study is coursework-intensive, with team projects, internships, and a master’s thesis or consulting project. MBA and MSc programs use a European one-year or 18-month structure rather than a U.S. two-year default. Students live in Barcelona, using the Pedralbes and Sant Cugat campuses and the city’s corporate offices for placements.
In the Grad School Navigator directory, ESADE lists 5 graduate programs across 4 subjects, all of them master's programs, with the widest choice in business & management, data science & business analytics and finance & financial economics.
