About AgroParisTech

AgroParisTech is a French grande ecole for the life and environmental sciences, based at Palaiseau on the Paris-Saclay plateau. It was created in 2007 by merging three older schools: the Institut national agronomique Paris-Grignon, ENGREF for forestry and water, and ENSIA for food industries. It is a member of Universite Paris-Saclay and of the ParisTech network, with additional historic sites including Nancy and Montpellier.

Teaching and research cover agronomy, forestry, food science, water, biotechnology, and environmental engineering. Graduate students work in joint laboratories with INRAE, CNRS, and Paris-Saclay partners, and in departments of agronomy, life sciences, and economics and social sciences.

The student body is small by university standards, on the order of 2,000, including ingenieur students, master's students, and doctoral candidates, with a substantial international share from Africa, Asia, and Europe. Alumni include agronomists, foresters, and food-industry engineers in French public service and agribusiness.

The core credential is the diplome d'ingenieur, alongside master's degrees through Paris-Saclay. Study is cohort-based and intensive, with internships in farms, industry, and public agencies, on the French autumn calendar. Many students receive French government or school scholarships. Palaiseau is a research-park campus south of Paris, reached by RER, with student housing on the plateau.

In the Grad School Navigator directory, AgroParisTech lists 1 master's program, in biology.
