About Audencia Business School
Audencia Business School is a French grande école of management in Nantes, founded in 1900 as the École Supérieure de Commerce de Nantes. It belongs to the Conférence des Grandes Écoles and remains a specialist business school rather than a comprehensive university, with additional sites in Paris and abroad. Its Atlantic campus on the edge of Nantes is the historic home of the Grande École program.
Teaching is organized around management, finance, marketing, supply chain, and corporate social responsibility, with a long-standing food and agribusiness track. Partnerships with Centrale Nantes and the Nantes architecture school support hybrid engineering-management and urban programs. Graduate work sits in academic departments and research chairs; executive education and specialized MSc degrees run alongside the Master’s in Management.
The school enrolls on the order of 6,000 students across bachelor, Grande École, MSc, MBA, and doctoral pathways, with a large international share and students from more than 90 countries. Faculty combine academic researchers and practitioners. Alumni are concentrated in European industry, consulting, and consumer goods.
Graduate study is dominated by the Grande École Master’s in Management, specialized MSc degrees, and MBA programs, with a PhD research track. The model mixes coursework, internships, and a final dissertation or project. The year follows the French grande école rhythm of fall and spring terms plus internships. Students are based in Nantes, a compact Atlantic city, with professional placements across France.
