About Nanyang Business School

Nanyang Business School is the business faculty of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. It began in 1956 as the Department of Commerce at Nanyang University and became NTU's business school after Nanyang University was reconstituted into NTU between 1980 and 1991. The school occupies the Yunnan Garden campus in Jurong West and operates as a professional school inside a technological university, not as an independent college.

It teaches accounting, banking and finance, marketing, strategy, operations, and information systems. Graduate teaching is built around the Nanyang MBA, specialized master's degrees, and a research doctorate. The school holds AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA accreditation. The Asian Business Case Centre and faculty groups in finance, marketing, and leadership produce cases and applied projects with Singapore banks, government-linked companies, and regional firms.

Several thousand students enroll, with a large international share from East and Southeast Asia, India, and Europe. Faculty number in the low hundreds. Graduates enter finance, consulting, and public administration in Singapore and the region. NTU as a whole has about 35,000 students.

Graduate work is mainly taught master's and MBA study; doctoral students are supervised in faculty research groups. NTU uses a two-semester calendar. Company sponsorships and school scholarships support many MBA students. Students live on or near campus and intern in Singapore's financial district.
