About Hong Kong University of Science and Technology-Yale University
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology–Yale University partnership is a joint academic arrangement linking Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in Clear Water Bay, Hong Kong. It is not a separately chartered university; it exists so students can take dual or collaborative degrees across the two campuses.
Subject strengths follow the parent institutions: Yale's Faculty of Arts and Sciences and professional schools, and HKUST's science, engineering, business, and interdisciplinary institutes. Students use faculty, libraries, and laboratories in both New Haven and Hong Kong.
Cohorts are small and international by design, drawn to study in both the United States and Hong Kong. Alumni belong to the two universities' networks rather than to a third independent alumni body.
Graduate study is joint or dual master's-level work, with coursework and supervision split between Yale's semester calendar and HKUST's. Students divide time between Yale's New Haven campus and HKUST's Clear Water Bay campus on Port Shelter.
In the Grad School Navigator directory, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology-Yale University lists 1 master's program, in business & management.
