About New York University Abu Dhabi
New York University Abu Dhabi is a degree-granting campus of New York University in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It admitted its first class in 2010 and occupies a residential campus on Saadiyat Island. It is a liberal-arts and research campus inside NYU's global network, alongside the New York and Shanghai degree sites, not a separate national university.
Undergraduate divisions cover arts and humanities, social science, science and engineering. Graduate offerings include master's and PhD pathways, some linked to NYU in New York. The NYUAD Institute and the science and engineering buildings house research groups; the Arts Center is part of academic life. Cross-cutting research includes climate, materials, social science and the arts.
About 2,000 undergraduates study on the residential campus, joined by a smaller graduate population. Students come from more than 100 countries, and no single nationality dominates. Faculty are recruited internationally and often hold associated New York appointments. Alumni are a young cohort in research, public service and the professions.
Doctoral work follows a research-supervision model with coursework at the start of the PhD. The calendar tracks NYU's semester system. Fellowship support is the normal funding pattern for PhD students. Graduate life is campus-contained on Saadiyat Island, with Abu Dhabi city a short drive away.
In the Grad School Navigator directory, New York University Abu Dhabi lists 2 graduate programs in business & management and psychology, all of them doctoral programs.
