About Pace University
Pace University is a private university in New York, founded in 1906 by brothers Homer St. Clair Pace and Charles A. Pace as a school of accounting and business. It grew into a multi-campus university whose main urban site is 1 Pace Plaza in Lower Manhattan, with a Westchester campus in Pleasantville and the Elisabeth Haub School of Law in White Plains.
Academic units include the Lubin School of Business, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law, Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, the College of Health Professions, the School of Education and the Sands College of Performing Arts. Business, law, computing and performing arts are the fields most associated with its graduate work.
About 13,000 students enroll across the campuses, with a large share in professional master's programs. International students are a visible part of the Manhattan graduate population. Alumni are concentrated in accounting, finance, law, media and other New York professions.
The university is known for MBA and other professional master's degrees, the JD at Haub Law, and master's work in computer science and health. Teaching is coursework-heavy, with internships in New York firms and agencies. The Civic Center campus sits beside City Hall Park and the Brooklyn Bridge, so graduate life is commuting and city-based.
